Teleflex launches new closed ISO-Gard circuit technology
Teleflex Incorporated has launched a new closed ISO-Gard circuit technology to minimize circuit breaks.
The closed system is designed for use in conjunction with the company's ConchaTherm Neptune heated humidifier featuring adjustable temperature and gradient control to support clinical practice guidelines for humidification delivery during invasive and noninvasive ventilation.
The respiratory technology also integrates reservoirs into the breathing circuit that collect excess condensate or secretions, which can be emptied using a suction wand.
In addition, the effective design of the technology helps in reducing both patient and clinician exposure to mucosal secretions and supports strategies for reducing the risk for ventilator-associated pneumonia in acute care hospitals.
Teleflex anesthesia and respiratory division president Cary Vance said, "This elegant, but simple, solution to a common challenge faced by respiratory clinicians further supports our commitment to Breathing, Made Easier."
